Attention Everybody. Do Not Ever Trade With Shaolinty

Well here is exactly what happend. I started a thread about a leveling service and shaolinty said that he would do it.

I pmed shaolinty my account and password so he could level my character.

Today, i logged on my account and EVERYTHING of value was gone from my account. Everything... (i wont list all the items but they were of high value at least 250 legit hrs.) Perf last wish pb, insane exile, perf grfffins (self found). Everything was of that calibur.

So please, nobody ever trade with shaolinty. Can a mod please ban him from these forums? He is a scammer and a thief.

Or, Shaolinty, could you please return all of my items? Or can somebody ban him?

I just had to vent. These items took me a very long time to get. And to lose them all due my trusting of a forum member, well it is a hard blow to stomach.|||you shouldnt trust people with low post counts and who joined this yr...unless they have vouches

no affense but this is your fault...and when doing lvling services usually smart thing is to make a new account with the chars u want for the lvling and play on that account

but still if shaolinity did scam you then yeh ban pls |||that sucks

he had over 100 posts too, odd |||Yea, it is my fault for trusting a forum member. I also find it too much of a hassle to change accounts to get to diff chars. I just wish he would give my items back or a ban.|||Sorry to hear about your loss, but I just thought I would bring up this little portion of the forum trade rules. I wouldn't expect anything to be done about it, as Shaperla clearly states that these types of trade are at your own risk, and not to do them unless you are certain you wont get ripped off. He also does not like to have these type of threads posted all over the trade boards, so I have reported it before it turns into a flame war or a he said/she said type of thing.

A person's post count does not show that they are trustworthy in itself. I would take into consideration their join date, post count, and the comments left by other members in the trade ratings and who left those comments. You should consider this a lesson learned and move on.|||Some how, i recall the fiasco of Chaos_Masterzz

Almost the exact thing happend to Mythos and that person got banned. I am not saying that i have contributed nearly the amount of stuff to the community as mythos, but i am just asking to ban a thief who will not help the d2 community in any way shape or form.|||Quote:

Dude seriously if you got all that gear how dumb is it to give your acct to a dude with 100 posts and only 2 months here.

I mean seriously you should be mad at yourself not Shaolinty.

"my fault for trusting a forum member" You just trusted the wrong member.|||Sorry to hear about your loss but chek is right on this one. To protect yourself, you should never give anyone access to your main account. If you need to have someone do the leveling for you...make a new account with new characters. Good luck next time.|||Quote:

You are referring to this thread perhaps? From what it looks like, he admitted to doing what he was accused of and was thus banned as a result. I wasn't about to wait around to see if the same thing would happen here, we don't need this clogging up the trade boards. That being said, I will not post anything else in this thread, it is pointless to continue bumping it.|||I don't mean to be rude or anything, but you sort of deserved it because of your stupidity. Harsh words, definitely, but I'm pointing out the obvious.

It doesn't even matter how many post counts or rating points you have. Hell, it doesn't even matter if you're friends with the guy. Trust me, I've seen far worse cases than this (example: a friend of mine giving his PW to a friend of his in FFXI for a year. His gear, totaling over 100,000,000G at the time, was gone, and all of his RARE/EX items were dropped).

*note: after my friend notified our HNM LS (LS = group; we're pretty damn big in our server), we made sure that the thief couldn't do anything in the game. Hell, we made the person's leveling experience (which is the only thing you CAN do in FFXI if you don't have an HNM LS) a living hell because FFXI is a tight-knit community; everyone knows each other.

Sadly, you can't really do (you can, but.. at a REALLY LESSER EXTENT) such a thing in Diablo II.

I know you're probably going to respond to this post, and it's natural. Just to save you from further embarrassment (I have no idea what you would say in your defense, so just save it), I'll refrain from looking at this thread.

P.S.

Do you honestly believe that he/she will return your items?
